Do you need to be certified to fly commercially?

Yes! To operate commercially (for hire/for profit) you need to be FAA Part 107 Certified. All Blacktip Aerial operators are certified and experienced in their craft.

How high can you fly?

As FAA certified pilots, we’re limited to a 400 foot ceiling in most locations and situation, though exceptions and FAA waivers sometimes apply.

Do you have insurance?

We carry a $1 million aeronautical insurance policy, which covers people and property during our operations. Rest assured when we’re on the job for you, your business and property are covered.

How far away can you fly?

We’re limited to flying within visual line of sight (VLOS). Any distances beyond that we’d utilize visual observers as part of our operation.

Are you experienced?

We have years of radio control & sUAS flying experience. We operate a variety of drones and bring years of experience to each project.

Do you only offer drone services?

No. We offer additional services such as complete ground (interior and exterior) photo and video capabilities, as well.
